This Cookie Policy explains how Magnor Vessels LLC ("Magnor Vessels", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our superyacht compliance platform and on our public marketing website. It describes what these technologies are, the limited purposes we use them for, and the choices available to you. This policy is intended to be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies (and similar technologies)?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to keep them secure, and to remember information about your visit. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies; those set by another organisation are called third-party cookies.
We also use, or may use, similar technologies that perform comparable functions, including:
- Local storage (and session storage) — data stored in your browser that we may use to remember interface preferences.
- Tokens and session identifiers used to keep you securely signed in.
In this policy, references to "cookies" include these similar technologies unless we say otherwise.

We aim to keep our use of cookies minimal and purposeful. In summary, we use cookies and similar technologies to:

- Protect our services against fraud, abuse and security threats, and to route traffic reliably.
- Remember your preferences so the interface behaves the way you expect.
- Process payments securely when you subscribe or pay through our platform.
We do not currently use advertising or marketing-tracking cookies, and we do not sell your personal data. If this changes in future — for example, if we introduce analytics — we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

4. Third-party cookies and services
Some cookies are set by trusted third parties that provide services on our behalf. When you use these services, the relevant provider may receive certain information (such as your IP address) and may set its own cookies, governed by that provider's own privacy and cookie notices.
- Clerk — our authentication provider. Clerk sets strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session.
- Stripe — our payments provider. Stripe may set cookies during checkout to process payments and to help prevent fraud.
In addition, our public marketing website loads some third-party resources — for example, Google Fonts and embedded imagery or video. Loading these resources can result in requests to the relevant providers (such as Google or the media host), which may receive technical information like your IP address.
5. Your choices and managing cookies
You have several ways to control cookies and similar technologies:
- Our cookie banner. For non-essential cookies, we ask for your consent through our cookie banner. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies and revisit your choices at any time.
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies, and clear local storage, through their settings. The steps differ by browser, so please check your browser's help pages.
Please note: strictly necessary cookies (including those used for authentication) cannot be switched off through our banner because the platform relies on them. If you block essential cookies in your browser, parts of the service may stop working and you may be unable to sign in or stay signed in.
6. Consent and withdrawing consent
We rely on different legal grounds depending on the type of cookie:
- Strictly necessary cookies are always active because they are essential to deliver a service you have requested. These do not require consent under applicable rules (such as the ePrivacy/PECR framework).
- Non-essential cookies (such as functional cookies) are only set where you have given consent, where consent is required.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via our cookie banner or your browser settings. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it, and it will not disable strictly necessary cookies.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, or for legal, regulatory or operational reasons. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If we introduce new categories of cookies that require consent — for example, analytics — we will seek your consent where required before they are used. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
